This colorless, fragrance-free call-out was originally conceptualized in 2022 - after a series of far-too-coincidental things were released by a certain other brand. See, here at J's Handcrafted, we work hard to not only make our products by hand - but we ALSO go out of our way to always be original, come up with unique concepts and not "borrow" ideas from other brands.
We keep to ourselves.
We do our own thing.
OUR WAY.
However, "ORIGINALITY" is a completely foreign concept to a brand much larger than ours. A brand run by someone we once called a "buddy." We even had a group chat with another brand owning friend of ours. (Shout-out to Ireland 🤘☘️🤘!) He'd probably agree this is LONG overdue.
Unfortunately, that other "buddy" has made a serious habit of copying what other brand owners put out. You know, ones with talent and creativity.
Of course, he has repeatedly denied ever ripping off another brand. I say "repeatedly" because I have confronted him about this, multiple times since 2022.
TO DIRECTLY QUOTE that pretentious, entitled, spoiled, little pr!ck:
"...my company has outgrown any notion of my looking over my shoulder at a downward slant towards your company, products or packaging for inspiration. It's rather pretentious to claim such of a larger and frankly more successful company."
(and YES, that IS a direct quote)
Well, J3rkoff, here I am - aT tHe BoTtOm oF tHe doWNwArD sLAnT - to remind you:
Over the last 4 years that you've been in business, I've gotten COUNTLESS messages from YOUR customers, regarding (but not limited to):
- You using the same labels, the same font and then writing PREMIUM on your beard products - look just like ours. It's actually confusing to customers too. How do I know? Because they tell me.
- Writing ISH on your soap boxes, is not an original idea you had. We've been doing it since Day #1, which was a year before you started. And we do it because we cut everything by hand, hence the slight weight variation. More importantly, NO OTHER BRAND does that. But you just happened to come up with it... ok.
You can hide behind the
"i didn't know! We had a team of design professionals create our boxes"
all you want. We both know which brands inspired your boxes. No "team of professional" ANYTHING would blatantly go after another brands intellectual property like that. No matter how much of your daddy's money you paid them. We know it was your idea for it to be added. You also said you'd remove it going forward. Did you? Nope.
- Your failed attempt at replicating our Pirate Life Collection. I was embarrassed for you on that one. Hell, I distinctly remember you "giving your word" you'd never even try that. I even have it in writing. Guess your word is worth as much as your creative abilities. 🐶💩
- Speaking of creativity - Sweet "Haddonfield" rip off. I only got about 712 messages about it. You know, you blocked me on facebook after the last time you got called out for ripping me off AND I STILL reached out on Instagram to talk to you, man-to-man, FOR 6 WEEKS. But you chose to ignore those messages and my comments as well. Now we're here, dealing with it publicly. Fine by me, "buddy."
I COULD keep going, as I'm sure you know.
You once even screamed up and down you'd never even been on our website or held our products in your hands!
... after you placed SEVERAL orders under fake names. Then tried ripping off our hand sanitizer formula, got busted on the fake name orders and then had your high school buddy up the street order the exact same thing and THEN you vehemently denied even knowing him - WHEN HE'S YOUR BRAND AMBASSADOR. Every other post on his instagram is an advertisement for your brand

I encourage EVERYONE to call out brands that rip others off. Even when it's your favorite brand. Otherwise, they'll continue to diminish the hard work of others.
This soap is going to be unbelievably gentle on your skin! And if that other brand continues doing what they've been doing - what we post next will not be so gentle.
And we'll be happy to re-release this ANY & EVERY TIME they rip us off in the future.
Might even make a full line of products. Who knows what I might do.
